HYDERABAD DECCAN: The Hyderabad Heroes defeated Chennai Superstars by four runs after a sensational contest, with five balls left and qualified for the final of the Indian Cricket League.
Winning the toss, Hyderabad Heroes batted first and set a winning target of 148 runs to the Chennai Superstars here at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium on Wednesday.
However, Chennai Superstars could not achieve the target and lost the match in the final over when the hosts dismissed them for 143 runs.
The main scorer for the Superstars was KH Badani who made 50 off 37 balls with six fours and one six.
Chris Harris, Justin Kemp and Abdul Razzaq claimed two wickets each.
Earlier, Hyderabad heroes made 147 runs for six wickets in the 20 allotted overs. Nicky Boje was the top scorer from the Heroes who made 47 runs off 38 balls with six fours and one six. He was declared man-of-the-match.
