KARACHI: Matric science and arts examinations beginning in the city from April 15 (tomorrow), as all appeared set for the holding of examinations by the Board Administration, however, the private students appearing in the exam facing difficulties in obtaining their admit cards.
At least 3,12,000 candidates will be appearing in the examinations being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education beginning from April 15 at the 478 exams centers set up all across the country, which constitute of 273 for boys and 205 for girls students, while one exam center will be set up at Karachi Central Jail for prisoners.
The examinations of class X will be held in the morning and that of class IX in the afternoon. The Board has issued admit cards to all the schools, while the work of sending admit cards to Arts (private) candidates at their residences has been completed, but several of them have complained of not receiving the admit cards. For such students, the Board has set up special counters.
Besides 5 special vigilance teams further 160 teams have been constituted by the City Government for combating cheatings in the exams.
KESC has been asked not to resort to load shedding during the exams facilitating the students for preparations of exams. Law enforcing agencies have also been alerted and phone numbers for informing any emergency situation to the Board have also been publicized.
