Sindh Information Technology Department has proposed the opening of 300 more training centers for promotion of Information Technology in the Province.
Minister of IT said the department has planned to introduce syllabus for the proposed 300 centers. He pointed out that existing centers are merely IT awareness centers and, therefore, no formal certificate is awarded to trainees in these centers.
Raza Haroon informed that IT department has established 40 IT Awareness Centers in 23 districts of Sindh including 11 in Karachi, 4 in Hyderabad, two each in Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Khairpur and one each in other districts.
He elaborated that admission is open to all interested people students or otherwise. He pointed out that IT Training Institutes Awarding Certificate/Diploma courses are controlled by Technical Board of Education, which determine admission, fee structure, syllabus and other terms and conditions.
